Call for Applications

The Pharmacy Young Leaders Programme (PYLP) is a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to equip emerging leaders in Ghana’s pharmacy profession with the skills, tools, and networks needed to drive transformation in healthcare.

Organized by the Academic, Social and Research Pharmacists Association (ASRPA) in collaboration with the Africa Science Leadership Programme (ASLP) and under the auspices of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH), PYLP offers a focused 4-day in-person workshop that blends leadership development, innovation, and creative problem-solving.

Who Should Apply?

Individuals with a demonstrated interest in leadership and a commitment to professional and health system transformation.

Pharmacists aged 25–40 years currently practicing in Ghana.

Early- to mid-career professionals from all sectors of pharmacy: clinical, community, academia, industry, regulation, or policy.

  • Leadership Training: Interactive sessions on leadership styles, negotiation, strategic thinking, and visioning.
  • Innovation Hackathon: Team-based challenge to design real-world pharmacy solutions.
  • Mentorship Circles: Access to experienced leaders in pharmacy and healthcare.
  • Networking: Connect with a diverse cohort of pharmacy professionals across Ghana.
  • Certification: Receive a Certificate of Leadership endorsed by ASRPA, PSGH, and ASLP.
  • Post-Programme Engagement: Continued learning through webinars and alumni support.

Cost & Support

  • Fully funded for selected participants, including accommodation, meals, and programme materials.
  • Limited slots available – early application is highly encouraged.
